After 5 played minutes JK Mansau got a freekick which was hit by Jaan Saluste. Tom Kilk struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Jürgen Laanemets didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JK Mansau. After a defensive mix-up in JK Mansau's zone, Joonas Hiiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joosep Traat came out of the goal and Joonas Hiiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute of the match Otto Rohi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joosep Traat skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Kilk in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jürgen Laanemets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ülo Maandi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jürgen Laanemets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joosep Traat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaspar Vool in the 27th minute of the match. Jürgen Laanemets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ülo Maandi in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Maetsma getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aimar Vanakool hit a great ball. Jürgen Laanemets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ülo Maandi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Kaspar Vool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joosep Traat having to interfere. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maetsma's goalkeeper Jürgen Laanemets, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jürgen Laanemets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Kilk, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. A collision led to Maetsma getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Elmu Lasn hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Tom Kilk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jürgen Laanemets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Kilk to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, JK Mansau's goal looked a bit too open when Kalmer Aavasalu came free, but Joosep Traat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paavo Lõvi during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
