Jaan Rääk came out of the goal and Elmu Lasn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Erki Aar put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jürgen Laanemets. Kaspar Vool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jaan Rääk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maetsma's Jürgen Laanemets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Maetsma from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, JK Muriste's August Männik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jürgen Laanemets narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Maetsma's Jürgen Laanemets got control of the ball when August Männik tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Maetsma getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hugo Veide hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Erki Aar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jürgen Laanemets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aimar Vanakool's late challenge caught a JK Muriste's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maetsma's Aimar Vanakool got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Jaan Märjamaa sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jürgen Laanemets threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Jaan Märjamaa this time. After 33 played minutes Maetsma got a freekick which was hit by Elmu Lasn. Aimar Vanakool kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Erki Aar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jürgen Laanemets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erki Aar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erki Aar was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erki Aar in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jürgen Laanemets saved Maetsma from getting behind. August Männik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Kalmer Aavasalu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maetsma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalmer Aavasalu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaspar Vool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaan Rääk having to interfere. If Erki Aar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If August Männik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, August Männik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JK Muriste fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A hard shot 83 in the game by Kalmer Aavasalu from a close distance when the talented Jaan Rääk managed to make a qualified save. JK Muriste's players were relieved. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Muriste's goalkeeper Jaan Rääk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92ndth minute of the game August Männik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maetsma's Jürgen Laanemets was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Kalmer Aavasalu came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Maetsma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kalmer Aavasalu couldn't finish the play. JK Muriste's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
