Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) FC Pelgu's Sander Üits started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Taavi Virumaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Üits in the 6th minute of play. When Sander Üits came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Pelgu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sander Üits couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Aare Juss notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Pelgu's Helmut Laanemaa. Helmut Laanemaa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mart Ruusamäe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Laanemaa having to interfere. Sulev Vainamäe kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Helmut Laanemaa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aare Juss's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eevald Nurk got free with Taavi Virumaa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Mart Ruusamäe made a precise shot to the right of Helmut Laanemaa. FC Pelgu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When FC Nova United's Aare Juss in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Pelgu's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mart Ruusamäe in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmut Laanemaa saved FC Pelgu from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mart Ruusamäe to make the kick off. Artur Indus's late challenge caught a FC Nova United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Indus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Artur Indus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvald Valu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Helmut Laanemaa. FC Pelgu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Eevald Nurk came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the FC Pelgu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eevald Nurk couldn't finish the play. If Eevald Nurk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aare Juss might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helmut Laanemaa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aare Juss ran back to his position shaking his head. Aare Juss was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Helmut Laanemaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mart Ruusamäe in the 63rd minute of the match. Mart Ruusamäe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmut Laanemaa having to interfere. If Mart Ruusamäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes FC Pelgu got a freekick which was hit by Rait Väärtnõu. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Aare Juss managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nova United's supporters rose to their feet, but Aare Juss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helmut Laanemaa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helmut Laanemaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mart Ruusamäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a little luck, FC Pelgu's Helmut Laanemaa got control of the ball when Aare Juss tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aare Juss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Helmut Laanemaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nova United's zone, Eevald Nurk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taavi Virumaa came out of the goal and Eevald Nurk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After recieving a nice pass, FC Nova United's Arni Algaja tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. FC Nova United's Taavi Virumaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eevald Nurk in the 94th minute of play. Sander Üits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Nova United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
