Riho Uustalu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Valdo Virmaline when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Valdo Virmaline made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Uudekülg in the 18th minute of play. If Tom Uudekülg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Tom Uudekülg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Virmaline saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raivo Nöps fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simo Narusson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Olumets in the 36th minute of play forced Tori Põrgulised's goalkeeper Simo Narusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Riho Uustalu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Tori Põrgulised's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Olumets in the 48th minute of play forced Tori Põrgulised's goalkeeper Simo Narusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Uudekülg to make the kick off. When Jaanus Lume fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Punikvere's protests and gave Jaanus Lume a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, Punikvere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaanus Lume to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, one of Tori Põrgulised:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tori Põrgulised. Aron Tihane shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Valdo Virmaline made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Uudekülg in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Punikvere's Raivo Nöps sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simo Narusson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tom Uudekülg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Valdo Virmaline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Punikvere's supporters rose to their feet, but Bert Olumets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simo Narusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Riho Uustalu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Punikvere got a freekick which was hit by Laur Kirst. 88 minutes into the match, Punikvere's goal looked a bit too open when Riho Uustalu came free, but Valdo Virmaline reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Riho Uustalu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tom Uudekülg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Valdo Virmaline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
