Raivo Nöps sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Punikvere's Valdo Virmaline played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Uudekülg in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Punikvere's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Uudekülg came free, but Valdo Virmaline reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bert Olumets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Simo Narusson made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Riho Uustalu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tori Põrgulised's supporters rose to their feet, but Riho Uustalu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Virmaline breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Tori Põrgulised was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mairo Kree to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Bert Olumets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punikvere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bert Olumets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Tori Põrgulised's Simo Narusson got control of the ball when Bert Olumets tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 minutes, Jaanus Lume mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punikvere and the Tori Põrgulised players grew even worse after the yellow card. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Uudekülg in the 71st minute of play forced Punikvere's goalkeeper Valdo Virmaline to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Punikvere booed when Tori Põrgulised was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rando Lell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes in the game, Bert Olumets dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Bert Olumets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Raivo Nöps blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simo Narusson having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Punikvere lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
