The tension between the Punikvere and the Pärnu Linnameeskond players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Punikvere got a freekick which was hit by Tom Oit. With a little luck, Punikvere's Valdo Virmaline got control of the ball when Robi Leo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Anton Ansip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raivo Nöps in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rando Tara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Pärnu Linnameeskond getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Henri Lest hit a great ball. When Raivo Nöps came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Punikvere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raivo Nöps couldn't finish the play. Anton Ansip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Valdo Virmaline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Vanamees took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rando Tara. Pärnu Linnameeskond's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pärnu Linnameeskond's Rando Tara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raivo Nöps in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Anton Ansip reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdo Virmaline. The goal made the score 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Pärnu Linnameeskond fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Pärnu Linnameeskond's Rando Tara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Pärnu Linnameeskond from getting a goal against them. In the 58th match minute, Pärnu Linnameeskond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henri Lest to maneuver through the defense. The Punikvere fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Punikvere's Jaanus Lume looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bert Olumets blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rando Tara having to make a save. Punikvere's Raivo Nöps got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Punikvere booed when Pärnu Linnameeskond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henri Lest didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pärnu Linnameeskond's Mattias Idavain got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Robi Leo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pärnu Linnameeskond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robi Leo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robi Leo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Ansip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Punikvere players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Pärnu Linnameeskond from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
