Ernst Jõe might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rauno Looga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asso Haavistu was the one to do the kick off. Kaupo Laineste kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Kuno Õlle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tropicalopolos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kuno Õlle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rauno Looga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avo Velling in the 61st minute of play forced Tropicalopolos FC's goalkeeper Maido Teeäär to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maido Teeäär made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vambola Rohumaa in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute Vambola Rohumaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maido Teeäär saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maido Teeäär showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avo Velling, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Avo Velling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maido Teeäär read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Asso Haavistu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ernst Jõe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rauno Looga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asso Haavistu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
