Innar Ämarik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The throw-in from Sander Lubi in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kayera's Aare Karp. After having played for 26 minutes, Madis Raudam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Vihi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madis Raudam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Madis Raudam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimond Aavasalu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Nurmeots in the 30th minute of the match. Arto Niitsoo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Aare Karp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Innar Ämarik having to make a save. In the 38th minute, Kayera's Aare Karp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Innar Ämarik. Innar Ämarik yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimo Väljaste was the one to do the kick off. Kayera's Raimond Aavasalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Nurmeots in the 60th minute of play. Raimond Aavasalu made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Madis Raudam sent off a good shot on target. Sander Kutsar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Otto Nurmeots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raimond Aavasalu made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Madis Raudam sent off a good shot on target. Kayera's Raimond Aavasalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Nurmeots in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Madis Raudam managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Vihi's supporters rose to their feet, but Madis Raudam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimond Aavasalu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Madis Raudam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Raimond Aavasalu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, SK Vihi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Nurmeots to maneuver through the defense. Despite being the better team, Kayera failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
