After a defensive mix-up in Kuri Kuusekoll's zone, Aksel Ruut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermo Raal came out of the goal and Aksel Ruut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Jõgeva Kollane's Aksel Ruut ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ermo Raal. Ermo Raal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jõgeva Kollane's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valmar Hiie in the 16th minute. The corner led Jõgeva Kollane's Aksel Ruut to fire away a dangerous shot which Ermo Raal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ermo Raal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aksel Ruut in the 18th minute of play. When Rudolf Laid came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Kuri Kuusekoll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudolf Laid couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Jõgeva Kollane defense, Üllar Mäetamm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Riho Hõlpus. The Jõgeva Kollane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Riho Hõlpus should have stopped the shot. Üllar Mäetamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ermo Raal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haarald Astuja in the 37th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aksel Ruut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kuri Kuusekoll's zone, Uku Mölder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermo Raal came out of the goal and Uku Mölder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jan Aesma fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kuri Kuusekoll's protests and gave Jan Aesma a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Jan Aesma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valmar Hiie, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ermo Raal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aksel Ruut in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jõgeva Kollane's zone, Siim Vaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Riho Hõlpus came out of the goal and Siim Vaga tried to chip the ball over his head. After a rather tough play, Kuri Kuusekoll's Rudolf Laid got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Kuri Kuusekoll's goal looked a bit too open when Haarald Astuja came free, but Ermo Raal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Üllar Mäetamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Siim Vaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riho Hõlpus was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Siim Vaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kuri Kuusekoll's supporters rose to their feet, but Siim Vaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Riho Hõlpus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Siim Vaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siim Vaga struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Riho Hõlpus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kuri Kuusekoll. Haarald Astuja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ermo Raal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Kuri Kuusekoll failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
