The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simo Tuulemaa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Hans Ludri, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ants Hull showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulev Jõgi in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Albert Eesik got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rando Laada's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jürgen Esko firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Albert Eesik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Albert Eesik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rando Laada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rando Laada struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jürgen Esko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Soela. In the 33rd minute, Sulev Jõgi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ants Hull was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ebavere's goalkeeper Jürgen Esko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Kalmer Toiger got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Albert Eesik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When August Luige came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the SK Soela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Luige couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by August Luige got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ebavere's Jürgen Esko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rando Laada in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albert Eesik made a kick off. A collision led to Ebavere getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Fred Koppel hit a great ball. Albert Eesik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Albert Eesik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jürgen Esko was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 68 played minutes Ebavere got a freekick which was hit by Andre Tamberg. Jürgen Esko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Eesik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kalmer Toiger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Luige sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
