Mairo Külaase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Märten Kuuse having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Mairo Külaase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haapsalu JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mairo Külaase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Märten Kuuse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jarmo Pangsepp fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlova's protests and gave Jarmo Pangsepp a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Karlova getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jarmo Pangsepp hit a great ball. If Ken Valinu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Haapsalu JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Lodev to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Karlova got a freekick which was hit by Kardo Vellend. 25 minutes into the match, Haapsalu JK's goal looked a bit too open when Ülo Veermäe came free, but Rasmus Laik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rasmus Laik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ülo Veermäe in the 26th minute of play. When Mairo Külaase came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Haapsalu JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mairo Külaase couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes Haapsalu JK got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Lepisk. If Ken Valinu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ülo Veermäe took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rasmus Laik. Rasmus Laik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ülo Veermäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rasmus Laik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mairo Külaase stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaimo Vaas in the 52nd minute of play forced Karlova's goalkeeper Märten Kuuse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karlova's Ülo Veermäe got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ken Valinu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Laik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ülo Veermäe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Lodev kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Henrik Lodev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Haapsalu JK got a freekick which was hit by Sven Murumets. Kaimo Vaas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Märten Kuuse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Ken Valinu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Rasmus Laik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Karlova's Jarmo Pangsepp suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sven Murumets charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Murumets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 84 minutes, Ken Valinu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karlova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Valinu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Märten Kuuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaimo Vaas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Kaimo Vaas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haapsalu JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaimo Vaas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ülo Veermäe during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karlova were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Haapsalu JK to leave the ground with a draw.
