Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5607, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) An unexpectedly hard shot by Helmut Mees in the 12th minute of play forced Essential's goalkeeper Oliver Virk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Kalle Raimets recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vambola Pärn. Kalle Raimets showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Helmut Mees kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Teet Haab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vambola Pärn having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Helmut Mees left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ellakvere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Kalle Raimets struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Vambola Pärn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Essential. When Ellakvere's Helmut Mees in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Essential's goalie prevented a goal. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Teet Haab managed to get in a good position for a shot. Essential's supporters rose to their feet, but Teet Haab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vambola Pärn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Avo Jors kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Jakob Uudikas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Essential were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
