Guido Järve could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Roomet Karus made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Guido Järve managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kurekula SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Järve was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roomet Karus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Järve got free with Roomet Karus in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurekula SK's Pearu Kaldmaa got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
