In the 3rd minute of the match Rando Hommuk sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uno Niitsoo skillfully saved the ball. In the 4th minute, Rain Õlg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the game, Kurekula SK's Pearu Kaldmaa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uno Niitsoo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Järve in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uno Niitsoo saved Palo from getting behind. Uno Niitsoo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Järve in the 12th minute of the match. If Guido Järve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Pearu Kaldmaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kurekula SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Pearu Kaldmaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uno Niitsoo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uno Niitsoo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Järve, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Palo's Leo Ülevain got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Pearu Kaldmaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Avo Härg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uno Niitsoo having to make a save. Guido Järve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Niitsoo having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Palo's goal looked a bit too open when Pearu Kaldmaa came free, but Uno Niitsoo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Guido Järve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palo's goalkeeper Uno Niitsoo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uno Niitsoo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pearu Kaldmaa in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Kurekula SK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pearu Kaldmaa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rain Õlg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivari Ahja having to interfere. If Guido Järve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Guido Järve came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Kurekula SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Järve couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, Hannes Raamets was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kurekula SK the free kick. Hannes Raamets hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Guido Järve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Kurekula SK booed when Palo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Ülevain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kusti Neemre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uno Niitsoo. Palo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kurekula SK played a much better game than Palo and deserved their victory. The Palo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
