Hando Kaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Sten Rohi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Varkja. Väino Lille stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aapo Kaasma. 0-1. Aapo Kaasma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mati Ratas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enno Ilmatark in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aapo Kaasma saved FC Sunrise Starz from getting behind. Enno Ilmatark charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enno Ilmatark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Sunrise Starz booed when Varkja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enno Ilmatark didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th play minute Simo Kasendi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sten Rohi. 1-1. A collision led to Varkja getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kaspar Niitsoo hit a great ball. Eedi Kõlar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Rohi having to interfere. Aapo Kaasma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herbert Palumets went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eedi Kõlar to make the kick off. Aapo Kaasma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Palumets in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Mati Ratas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aapo Kaasma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Eedi Kõlar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 62 minutes, Herbert Palumets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varkja and the FC Sunrise Starz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Herbert Palumets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Enno Ilmatark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Varkja's zone, Eedi Kõlar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Rohi came out of the goal and Eedi Kõlar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eedi Kõlar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Rohi having to interfere. Eedi Kõlar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Eedi Kõlar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eedi Kõlar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Rohi having to interfere. Eedi Kõlar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Sten Rohi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aapo Kaasma made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Enno Ilmatark sent off a good shot on target. Eedi Kõlar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sten Rohi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eedi Kõlar struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Sten Rohi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Sunrise Starz. Aapo Kaasma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mati Ratas, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Aapo Kaasma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaspar Niitsoo in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Enno Ilmatark made a precise shot to the right of Aapo Kaasma. FC Sunrise Starz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Varkja's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
