The Vihmavari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalev Levisto should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Ahti Hool left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vihmavari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Vihmavari's Hando Värk got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, one of Palo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palo. Rasmus Anton walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 45th minute, Alo Mustasaar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uno Niitsoo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alo Mustasaar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gunnar Hindpere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kalev Levisto having to make a save. If Alo Mustasaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahti Hool struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Uno Niitsoo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vihmavari. After 62 minutes, Alo Mustasaar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vihmavari and the Palo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Vihmavari got a freekick which was hit by Alo Mustasaar. After some careless play in the Palo defense, Alo Mustasaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uno Niitsoo. The Palo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uno Niitsoo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Palo booed when Vihmavari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Kapten didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Gunnar Hindpere dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kalev Levisto, 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alo Mustasaar in the 79th minute of play forced Palo's goalkeeper Uno Niitsoo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rasmus Anton charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rasmus Anton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Rasmus Anton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palo's Gunnar Hindpere got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kalev Levisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Hindpere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gunnar Hindpere came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Palo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Hindpere couldn't finish the play. The Vihmavari players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
