Toivo Arujärv who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Ago Jaanovits when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to CF Elva getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Toivo Arujärv hit a great ball. Eedi Pererahu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Üllar Vikat in the 6th minute of play. When Udo Vanaliin came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the CF Elva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Udo Vanaliin couldn't finish the play. In the 10thth minute of the game Andris Võrk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JK Pyllika's Ago Jaanovits was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jüri Tihkan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Elva's protests and gave Jüri Tihkan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Jüri Tihkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toivo Arujärv got free with Ago Jaanovits in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Valdek Vaasna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CF Elva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in JK Pyllika's zone, Toivo Arujärv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ago Jaanovits came out of the goal and Toivo Arujärv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, JK Pyllika's Ago Jaanovits got control of the ball when Andris Võrk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Urmo Loo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Andris Võrk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ago Jaanovits was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Udo Vanaliin struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ago Jaanovits didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Elva. Siim Säga hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Üllar Vikat was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes CF Elva got a freekick which was hit by Urmo Loo. JK Pyllika's Ago Jaanovits played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdek Vaasna in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Andris Võrk made a precise shot to the right of Ago Jaanovits. JK Pyllika's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 67th play minutes Andris Võrk shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Ago Jaanovits and just under the crossbar into goal. Ago Jaanovits stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdek Vaasna's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Udo Vanaliin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF Elva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Udo Vanaliin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eiko Nõmmiste hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Rene Liiva made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CF Elva's Toivo Arujärv. In the 86th minute, Andris Võrk made a precise shot to the right of Ago Jaanovits. JK Pyllika's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Valdek Vaasna managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Elva's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdek Vaasna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ago Jaanovits breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute Valdek Vaasna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ago Jaanovits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that CF Elva were the better team. CF Elva's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
