Saviaugu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Sten Küttmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olbiku's Sulev Saarnak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Kulu in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Olbiku's Silver Raig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Taavet Vanakool narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heino Ani during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, one of Saviaugu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saviaugu. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Olbiku. Tom Alles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Taavet Vanakool. 1-0. Silver Raig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hardo Karm was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Siim Laenaja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olbiku's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saviaugu the free kick. In the 51st match minute, Olbiku was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siim Laenaja to maneuver through the defense. Taavet Vanakool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hardo Karm, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 67 played minutes Saviaugu got a freekick which was hit by Väino Ringo. Saviaugu's Taavet Vanakool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hardo Karm in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Olbiku's zone, Hans Kulu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sulev Saarnak came out of the goal and Hans Kulu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silver Raig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Hardo Karm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olbiku's supporters rose to their feet, but Hardo Karm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taavet Vanakool breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliver Kaasik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taavet Vanakool having to interfere.
