An unexpectedly hard shot by Haarald Koop in the 21st minute of play forced Inter's goalkeeper Volli Viru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Agu Naaskel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inter's Eedi Vooremäe got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martti Aaring hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute of the match Paavo Aunaste sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Riho Naaskel skillfully saved the ball. Riho Naaskel was a little too slow when Voldemar Udu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 44th minute, Lembit Eidast hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paavo Aunaste shot a long shot in the 45th minute and a light blocked Riho Naaskel hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Voldemar Udu made a kick off. Haarald Koop could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Volli Viru made a huge save. Haarald Koop let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 58th minute shot 2-2 at rihgt post. Pärnu Mai FC's Riho Naaskel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eedi Vooremäe in the 62nd minute of play. Riho Naaskel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eedi Vooremäe in the 74th minute of play. Eedi Vooremäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Riho Naaskel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Voldemar Udu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Volli Viru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aivar Kerm in the 80th minute of play. Voldemar Udu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Riho Naaskel having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, one of Pärnu Mai FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pärnu Mai FC. Voldemar Udu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Riho Naaskel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
