When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Urmet Vähi sped through Neytla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ants Laineste. Üllar Kohv was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Johan Rosenberg. When Urmet Vähi came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Marjandi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urmet Vähi couldn't finish the play. Elmo Sau hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Ants Laineste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urmet Vähi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marjandi SK's Ilmar Kaar got a free kick in the 21st minute. Üllar Kohv stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toomas Elken's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Neytla's goal looked a bit too open when Urmet Vähi came free, but Ants Laineste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marjandi SK's Kuno Räim in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neytla's goalie prevented a goal. Ants Laineste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuno Räim in the 30th minute of the match. Ants Laineste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Kuno Räim made the kick off in the second half. Neytla's Ants Laineste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuno Räim in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Neytla booed when Marjandi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olev Ülavere didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Edvard Võrno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neytla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Urmet Vähi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kuno Räim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ants Laineste having to make a save. In the 77th match minute, Neytla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Laanes to maneuver through the defense. Kuno Räim was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Marjandi SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marjandi SK's Kuno Räim got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 played minutes, Marjandi SK's Arto Übi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ants Laineste came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marjandi SK reached it. Marjandi SK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
