The Holsten fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Holsten's Adam Zbagan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 31st minute, Dag Hedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. JK Toruabi's Tomas Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Hedin in the 34th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Tom Muusik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JK Toruabi and the Holsten players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnold Elu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Zbagan in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Hansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

JK Toruabi's Tomas Hansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save JK Toruabi from getting a goal against them. If Adam Zbagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evald Eomäe got free with Tomas Hansson in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kardo Äike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mehdi De Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Zbagan in the 67th minute. Tomas Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turan Cansever, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Holsten's goal looked a bit too open when Kaur Aesma came free, but Mehdi De Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
