In the 17thth minute of the game Herbert Virve who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray FC's Illimar Üle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray FC's Kaspar Harju got a free kick in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Rain Virmaline was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JuveLogan the free kick. Rain Virmaline kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Illimar Üle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Virve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marti Olev in the 25th minute of play forced Galatasaray FC's goalkeeper Illimar Üle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hemming Matzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Antonas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. JuveLogan's Marti Olev got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrei Antonas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marti Olev in the 59th minute of play forced Galatasaray FC's goalkeeper Illimar Üle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerd Raik's late challenge caught a Galatasaray FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Illimar Üle was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of JuveLogan booed when Galatasaray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Kullamaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marti Olev in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Illimar Üle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rain Virmaline hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Galatasaray FC's Illimar Üle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray FC from getting a goal against them.
