An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike van Zeijl in the 8th minute of play forced Doctor's goalkeeper Vânderson Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hannes Raidla got free with Tauri Koha in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Dune:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Doctor:s goal. The supporters of Doctor booed when Dune was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peep Teraväe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neeme Juur might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tauri Koha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neeme Juur ran back to his position shaking his head. Vânderson Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike van Zeijl, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Adolf Lausmäe struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vânderson Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dune. 36 minutes into the match, Doctor's goal looked a bit too open when Mike van Zeijl came free, but Vânderson Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vânderson Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike van Zeijl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Mike van Zeijl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dune's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike van Zeijl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maarek Jaama was the one to do the kick off. Mike van Zeijl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Pena having to interfere. Doctor's Vânderson Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolf Lausmäe in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Dune were awarded a corner. Mike van Zeijl went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Dune's Peep Teraväe to fire away a dangerous shot which Vânderson Pena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Mike van Zeijl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vânderson Pena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adolf Lausmäe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Pena having to interfere. Neeme Juur hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Doctor defense, Mike van Zeijl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vânderson Pena. The Doctor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vânderson Pena should have stopped the shot. If Mike van Zeijl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vânderson Pena made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mike van Zeijl sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Dune's Taavi Voltri got a free kick in the 78th minute. Maarek Jaama took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tauri Koha. Dune's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Doctor's zone, Illimar Valgupera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Pena came out of the goal and Illimar Valgupera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute Maarek Jaama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tauri Koha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike van Zeijl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the game, Doctor's 毛建帆 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tauri Koha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Mike van Zeijl fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dune's protests and gave Mike van Zeijl a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Dune got a freekick which was hit by Mike van Zeijl. 95 minutes into the match, Doctor's goalkeeper Vânderson Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mike van Zeijl.
