Akheron Sakellaridis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Nikias Antonakos made a huge save. 10 minutes into the game, Menoikeus Antonopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nikias Antonakos. Menoikeus Antonopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Akheron Sakellaridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Menoikeus Antonopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikias Antonakos. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. A collision led to Oxilár getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Charis Kountouroudas hit a great ball. Akheron Sakellaridis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikias Antonakos having to make a save. Nikias Antonakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menoikeus Antonopoulos in the 25th minute of play. Musios Comino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Apoel Nicosia F.C getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Skhoineus Kokkali hit a great ball. Oxilár's Zinon Koumanidis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Apoel Nicosia F.C. If Alekos Karaoulanis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Apoel Nicosia F.C getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Orthros Zorbas hit a great ball. When Alekos Karaoulanis came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Oxilár fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Karaoulanis couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Oxilár booed when Apoel Nicosia F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menoikeus Antonopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apoel Nicosia F.C's goalkeeper Manos Vardakas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 47 played minutes, Oxilár's Kolkhis Vrotsos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manos Vardakas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oxilár reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Musios Comino to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Apoel Nicosia F.C's Manos Vardakas got control of the ball when Alekos Karaoulanis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute Akheron Sakellaridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikias Antonakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skhoineus Kokkali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikias Antonakos having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Musios Comino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nikias Antonakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menoikeus Antonopoulos in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Orthros Zorbas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Alekos Karaoulanis could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Manos Vardakas however easily saved by the left post. Manos Vardakas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musios Comino in the 86th minute of the match. Apoel Nicosia F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
