The Maroúlion BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Makhaon Christou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Alexandros Paraskevopoulos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Anestis Kouretas came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Smigádhi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anestis Kouretas couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Akestes Rigatos could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Kolkhis Petrakis however easily saved by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Akestes Rigatos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kolkhis Petrakis. Maroúlion BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akestes Rigatos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Kolkhis Petrakis made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Akestes Rigatos sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Maroúlion BC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Maroúlion BC's Kolkhis Petrakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akestes Rigatos in the 67th minute of play. Kolkhis Petrakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makhaon Christou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kolkhis Petrakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Makhaon Christou, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Thodoris Kringos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kolkhis Petrakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
