The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alkestis Argitakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menios Kezdoglou in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, omonia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Ladas came free, but Alkestis Argitakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kreon Tableriou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. omonia FC's Alkestis Argitakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save omonia FC from getting a goal against them. After 10 played minutes omonia FC got a freekick which was hit by Glaukos Karabatsos. Alkestis Argitakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menios Kezdoglou in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, omonia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Galitsis came free, but Alkestis Argitakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amykos Asikis kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Alekos Ladas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fotinós's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alekos Ladas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alekos Ladas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kreon Tableriou's late challenge caught a omonia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kreon Tableriou helped the player get up and apologised. Kreon Tableriou hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Fotinós's Epeios Calogerakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandros Evanggenelis in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Alekos Ladas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fotinós's supporters rose to their feet, but Alekos Ladas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alkestis Argitakos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iphitos Logarakis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Makareus Kaloxylos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the omonia FC and the Fotinós players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute of the match Dinekis Arvanitoyannis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alkestis Argitakos skillfully saved the ball. Alkestis Argitakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aigeus Kouropoulos in the 54th minute of play. If Menios Kezdoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Menios Kezdoglou came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Fotinós fans jumped to their feet. In the 68th minute, Menios Kezdoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 69 played minutes omonia FC got a freekick which was hit by Glaukos Karabatsos. The audience was convinced that Menios Kezdoglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alkestis Argitakos was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Glaukos Karabatsos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Alekos Ladas took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alkestis Argitakos. Alkestis Argitakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to omonia FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Areion Vassilikos hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the game, Fotinós's Menios Kezdoglou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alkestis Argitakos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Fotinós's Menios Kezdoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Menios Kezdoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alkestis Argitakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fotinós's Menios Kezdoglou in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye omonia FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute Alekos Ladas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkestis Argitakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fotinós fully deserved thier win.
