The audience thought a goal was coming when Lykos Missiakos got free with Dinekis Bekyros in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in AEK KOUKLION's zone, Fanis Egonidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fanis Villas came out of the goal and Fanis Egonidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute Aietes Kanavos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Villas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Marios Rigatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinekis Bekyros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fanis Egonidis struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Fanis Villas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC MILAN. Vaggelis Demopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinekis Bekyros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vaggelis Demopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Aietes Kanavos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. After having played for 49 minutes, Marios Rigatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK KOUKLION's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marios Rigatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marios Rigatos to strike the kick off in the second half. Aietes Kanavos kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 56thth minute. Though ot was a great shot AEK KOUKLION's keeper Fanis Villas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Fanis Egonidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Villas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Fanis Egonidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fanis Villas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 65th minute, but Fanis Villas got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving AEK KOUKLION hanging dry this time. Epeios Sarantopoulos hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Lykos Missiakos struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Dinekis Bekyros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK KOUKLION. 74 minutes into the match, Marios Rigatos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinekis Bekyros. AC MILAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marios Rigatos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 82nd of the match, Fanis Egonidis tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Fanis Villas got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 82nd match minute, AEK KOUKLION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Demopoulos to maneuver through the defense. If Lykos Missiakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lykos Missiakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinekis Bekyros having to interfere. In the 91st play minute Epeios Sarantopoulos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fanis Villas. 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the AC MILAN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AEK KOUKLION.
