An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniil Sergeev in the 22nd minute of play forced Karoútai's goalkeeper Labdakos Kakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Kanake Tsimicalis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Labdakos Kakos to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Karoútai getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Prokris Agelakos hit a great ball. Labdakos Kakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniil Sergeev in the 30th minute of the match. Labdakos Kakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Guillelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 33 minutes, Kroios Stamatelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karoútai and the AEK KYPEROUNTAS F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AEK KYPEROUNTAS F.C booed when Karoútai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kroios Stamatelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xie Peng Sen to make the kick off. Daniil Sergeev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Labdakos Kakos having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Daniil Sergeev made a precise shot to the right of Labdakos Kakos. Karoútai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 84 minutes into the game, Daniil Sergeev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Labdakos Kakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kroios Stamatelos was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 93 minutes into the match, Xie Peng Sen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Labdakos Kakos. Karoútai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xie Peng Sen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. AEK KYPEROUNTAS F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
