Akrisios Vlahos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when anorthosis's Dardanos Skouzas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Takis Econome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alekos Petrakis made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Leukippos Koumanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Likymnios Sardelis fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored anorthosis's protests and gave Likymnios Sardelis a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes anorthosis got a freekick which was hit by Likymnios Sardelis. The supporters of APOEL FC booed when anorthosis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leukippos Koumanidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Takis Econome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akrisios Vlahos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polybos Dounias kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 90 minutes APOEL FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Iosif Georgas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led anorthosis's Takis Econome to fire away a dangerous shot which Akrisios Vlahos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 95th match minute, anorthosis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lefteris Petridis to maneuver through the defense. Kroios Hristopoulos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nessos Karameros. Dardanos Skouzas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akrisios Vlahos having to interfere.
