Makhaon Roros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpheios Bourikas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zógas's zone, Tassos Pispinis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Makhaon Roros came out of the goal and Tassos Pispinis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Alpheios Bourikas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Léïmona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alpheios Bourikas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hektor Vamvakidis hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Kadmos Kokkinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 17 minutes, Likourgos Tassioglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zógas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Likourgos Tassioglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Likourgos Tassioglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Petros Sakellariou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kadmos Kokkinos in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petros Sakellariou saved Léïmona from getting behind. Makhaon Roros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tassos Pispinis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Zógas defense, Alpheios Bourikas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Makhaon Roros. The Zógas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Makhaon Roros should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Tassos Pispinis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Makhaon Roros. Zógas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tassos Pispinis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 36th minute, Likourgos Tassioglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Léïmona getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Aiakos Georgousopoulos hit a great ball. Tassos Pispinis struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Makhaon Roros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Léïmona. Likourgos Tassioglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alpheios Bourikas made the kick off in the second half. Zógas's Makhaon Roros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alpheios Bourikas in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Hektor Vamvakidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Léïmona's Makhaon Roros threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alpheios Bourikas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tassos Pispinis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Makhaon Roros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kadmos Kokkinos came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Zógas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kadmos Kokkinos couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tassos Pispinis got free with Makhaon Roros in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Likourgos Tassioglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Petros Sakellariou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Zógas booed when Léïmona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aiakos Georgousopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zógas's Likourgos Tassioglou got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Likourgos Tassioglou came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Zógas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Likourgos Tassioglou couldn't finish the play. Tassos Pispinis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makhaon Roros having to interfere. Alpheios Bourikas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Zógas lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
