Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zérvi's Nikias Giannopoulos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Nessos Batsakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Zérvi fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Zérvi's Nikias Giannopoulos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patroklos Lalagos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Logarakis having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Nikias Giannopoulos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Omonoia's Thomas Logarakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikias Giannopoulos in the 17th minute of play. If Nikias Giannopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Zérvi defense, Nessos Batsakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tantalos Kopsas. The Zérvi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tantalos Kopsas should have stopped the shot. Tantalos Kopsas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nessos Batsakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Logarakis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eteokles Koustoubos. In the 38th minute, Akheron Belesis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikias Giannopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Logarakis having to interfere. With a little luck, Omonoia's Thomas Logarakis got control of the ball when Patroklos Lalagos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nessos Batsakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Zethos Diamantopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zérvi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Omonoia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zérvi's Zethos Diamantopoulos got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikias Giannopoulos in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Logarakis saved Omonoia from getting behind. If Patroklos Lalagos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikias Giannopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Omonoia's goal looked a bit too open when Patroklos Lalagos came free, but Thomas Logarakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Zérvi's Nikias Giannopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Logarakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Patroklos Lalagos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zérvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patroklos Lalagos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Omonoia's zone, Nikias Giannopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Logarakis came out of the goal and Nikias Giannopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Omonoia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eteokles Koustoubos was slow to take the kick. During this time Zérvi's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Eteokles Koustoubos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Logarakis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Zérvi players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
