Plouton Varvitsiotes started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Oinomoas Stathopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostolis Frangopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Asclipio FC booed when Anathemanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iason Plevritis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aglauros Tsangaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Frangopoulos having to interfere. Takis Kapataidakis made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Adrastos Rigatos sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Aglauros Tsangaris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asclipio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aglauros Tsangaris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolis Frangopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apostolis Frangopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oinomoas Stathopoulos in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Asclipio FC's goalkeeper Takis Kapataidakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aglauros Tsangaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Apostolis Frangopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Anathemanta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oinomoas Stathopoulos came free, but Apostolis Frangopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aglauros Tsangaris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Apostolis Frangopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iakchos Koulouris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asclipio FC's Aglauros Tsangaris got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oinomoas Stathopoulos in the 38th minute of play forced Anathemanta FC's goalkeeper Apostolis Frangopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aglauros Tsangaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Anathemanta FC's Kolkhis Bilias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kolkhis Bilias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Anathemanta FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kolkhis Bilias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Asclipio FC a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amykos Mandrapilias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anathemanta FC's Apostolis Frangopoulos. 0-1. After the first half Asclipio FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oinomoas Stathopoulos to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Aglauros Tsangaris made a precise shot to the right of Apostolis Frangopoulos. Anathemanta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Oinomoas Stathopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Anathemanta FC's zone, Oinomoas Stathopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostolis Frangopoulos came out of the goal and Oinomoas Stathopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostolis Frangopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oinomoas Stathopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Apostolis Frangopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oinomoas Stathopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oinomoas Stathopoulos in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apostolis Frangopoulos saved Anathemanta FC from getting behind. When the match was over Asclipio FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anathemanta FC throughout the match.
