Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thodoris Bertsimas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Neil Litchfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REAL MADRID FC. Washington Peixoto might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neil Litchfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neil Litchfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thodoris Bertsimas in the 23rd minute of the match. Asproyerakáta's Neil Litchfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haimon Angelis in the 33rd minute of play. Thodoris Bertsimas might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neil Litchfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thodoris Bertsimas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epigonoi Tsaousidis in the 44th minute of play forced REAL MADRID FC's goalkeeper Krzysztof Adamski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Asproyerakáta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though REAL MADRID FC had controlled the match.
