An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynardo Lloredo in the 3rd minute of play forced Apoel Stars's goalkeeper Thoralf Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Apoel Stars defense, Reynardo Lloredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thoralf Hong. The Apoel Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thoralf Hong should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the game, Aek athens's Epeios Solomos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thoralf Hong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 12th minute Epeios Solomos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thoralf Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epeios Solomos in the 15th minute of play forced Apoel Stars's goalkeeper Thoralf Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thoralf Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epeios Solomos in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Aglauros Passas made a precise shot to the right of Thoralf Hong. Apoel Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 20 minutes into the match, Apoel Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Epeios Solomos came free, but Thoralf Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thoralf Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epeios Solomos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Aek athens's Aglauros Passas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aek athens's Ilmo Jussilainen couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Apoel Stars. Thoralf Hong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epeios Solomos's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 于永风 scored 0-5 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thoralf Hong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于永风 in the 37th minute of play. Epeios Solomos took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thoralf Hong. Thoralf Hong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Thoralf Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynardo Lloredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimosthenis Horiatis made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Aglauros Passas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thoralf Hong. The goal made the score 0-8. In the 55th minute of the match Ilmo Jussilainen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thoralf Hong skillfully saved the ball. Thoralf Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynardo Lloredo in the 56th minute of play. Thoralf Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epeios Solomos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Thoralf Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 于永风, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong got control of the ball when Epeios Solomos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Reynardo Lloredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aek athens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Aek athens's Kyknos Tsogas was substituted for Reynardo Lloredo. Aek athens made a substitution. Simeon Akrivopoulos replaced 魏枫宇. In the 73rd minute, Kyknos Tsogas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thoralf Hong. The goal made the score 0-10. The supporters of Aek athens booed when Apoel Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lykomedes Demas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Apoel Stars from getting a goal against them. Aek athens's Epeios Solomos came free and shot a quick shot against goal 77 minutes in the game, fortunately Thoralf Hong had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to Apoel Stars getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nessos Yfantis hit a great ball. Thoralf Hong came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Aek athens's Epeios Solomos. But to his dismay, Epeios Solomos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. With a little luck, Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong got control of the ball when Epeios Solomos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Epeios Solomos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thoralf Hong. That made the score 0-12 in the 86 minute of play. Epeios Solomos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Thoralf Hong made a huge save. Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于永风 in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96thth minute of the game Kyknos Tsogas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Apoel Stars's Thoralf Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aek athens played a much better game than Apoel Stars and deserved their victory. The Apoel Stars players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
