The audience was convinced that Pavlos Panayiotopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstantinos Theodoratos was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the game, Orthros Poulakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Efstathiou UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester city the free kick. Orthros Poulakis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Laios Houlis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseas Nikolakopoulos having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Manchester city got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Malavazos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helios Haritos in the 22nd minute of play forced Manchester city's goalkeeper Odysseas Nikolakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Giannis Banos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Efstathiou UTD and the Manchester city players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giannis Banos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helios Haritos to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Kreon Eliopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester city's supporters rose to their feet, but Kreon Eliopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstantinos Theodoratos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kreon Eliopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helios Haritos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseas Nikolakopoulos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Priamos Proussalidi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester city's supporters rose to their feet, but Priamos Proussalidi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstantinos Theodoratos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester city's Lynkeus Horiatis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Konstantinos Theodoratos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavlos Panayiotopoulos's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Helios Haritos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laios Houlis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manchester city's Pavlos Panayiotopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Manchester city's Pavlos Panayiotopoulos in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Efstathiou UTD's goalie prevented a goal. Pavlos Panayiotopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Konstantinos Theodoratos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavlos Panayiotopoulos in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konstantinos Theodoratos saved Efstathiou UTD from getting behind. 84 minutes into the game, Pavlos Panayiotopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Konstantinos Theodoratos. Pavlos Panayiotopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Efstathiou UTD getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Giannis Banos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Efstathiou UTD's zone, Pavlos Panayiotopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantinos Theodoratos came out of the goal and Pavlos Panayiotopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odysseas Nikolakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helios Haritos in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Manchester city could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Efstathiou UTD throughout the match.
