In the 24th minute, APOELHELLAS's Michel Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Koulis Mestas. Koulis Mestas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Koulis Mestas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Hylander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Mánthia's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Hylander came free, but Koulis Mestas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Øverland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Dicastillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Michel Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. APOELHELLAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michel Santos made a kick off. APOELHELLAS's Tobias Øverland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save APOELHELLAS from getting a goal against them. Michel Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Koulis Mestas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobias Øverland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Dicastillo in the 58th minute of play. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mánthia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Makareus Poulakis was slow to take the kick. During this time APOELHELLAS's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Quique Meckes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mánthia's Koulis Mestas did a great save. Koulis Mestas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel Santos's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute Lykaon Belesis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Mestas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. APOELHELLAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Makareus Poulakis in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Mánthia's Alpheios Markopoulos got a free kick in the 78th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mánthia's Anestis Katsambis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobias Øverland. That made the score 2-1 after 80 minutes of play. 88 minutes into the match, Mánthia's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Santos came free, but Koulis Mestas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Øverland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Katsambis in the 91st minute of play. Koulis Mestas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. APOELHELLAS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
