Koulis Mestas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mánthia's goalkeeper Koulis Mestas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Mánthia's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Santos came free, but Koulis Mestas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Lykaon Belesis managed to get in a good position for a shot. APOELHELLAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lykaon Belesis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Koulis Mestas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute of the match APOELHELLAS got a corner. Mánthia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Makareus Poulakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Makareus Poulakis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Koulis Mestas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 30 played minutes APOELHELLAS got a freekick which was hit by Anton Hylander. Koulis Mestas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Santos in the 35th minute of the match. Koulis Mestas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lykaon Belesis in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dionisio Dicastillo got free with Tobias Øverland in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Santos was the one to do the kick off. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute of the match, Lykaon Belesis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Koulis Mestas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mánthia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Makareus Poulakis was slow to take the kick. During this time APOELHELLAS's players had a chance to rest. Lykaon Belesis made a great header on APOELHELLAS's corner, it was just that Mánthia's Koulis Mestas managed to reach the ball for a save.
