With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Araújo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Øverland saved APOELHELLAS from getting behind. In the 18th minute Matias Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Øverland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The OMONOIA fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when OMONOIA's Matias Araújo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the APOELHELLAS defense, Matias Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Øverland. The APOELHELLAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Øverland should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, APOELHELLAS's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Araújo came free, but Tobias Øverland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute OMONOIA were awarded a corner. Eduardo Zanette went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on OMONOIA's corner Eduardo Zanette fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobias Øverland quite easily take care of the ball. After 31 played minutes OMONOIA got a freekick which was hit by Giorgos Papastathopoulos. Michel Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, OMONOIA's Koios Panayiotopoulos got control of the ball when Michel Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobias Øverland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.
