Antonis Nikopolidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ertan Duman in the 35th minute of the match. Antonis Nikopolidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ertan Duman went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Ertan Duman made a precise shot to the right of Antonis Nikopolidis. Nea Salamis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 47thth minute of the game Ertan Duman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nea Salamis's Antonis Nikopolidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Nea Salamis booed when ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fotis Theofilopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Besim Vecdet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonis Nikopolidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Besim Vecdet took a quick shot and it went in 2-8 without a chance for Antonis Nikopolidis to make any attempt to save it. ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
