Karavostásis BC's Selçuk Eldem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ptolemeus Giannopoulos in the 22nd minute of play forced Karavostásis BC's goalkeeper Selçuk Eldem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Unione Sportiva got a corner. Karavostásis BC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernado Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eteokles Mitsinikos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Unione Sportiva players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
