The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alekos Kyriakoulopoulos hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match APOELHELLAS got a corner. ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Makareus Poulakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on APOELHELLAS's corner Makareus Poulakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isidro Rio quite easily take care of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C's goalkeeper Isidro Rio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Santos. 18 minutes into the match, Michel Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Rio. ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of APOELHELLAS booed when ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Kyriakoulopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Isidro Rio made a huge save. 40 minutes into the game, Lykaon Belesis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Isidro Rio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lykaon Belesis managed to get in a good position for a shot. APOELHELLAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lykaon Belesis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Rio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Santos was the one to do the kick off. Dong Xi Xiong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Tobias Øverland made a huge save. In the 52nd minute Michel Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Michel Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Rio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Michel Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lykaon Belesis scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Rio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isidro Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lykaon Belesis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Santos in the 67th minute of the match. When Lykaon Belesis came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the APOELHELLAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lykaon Belesis couldn't finish the play. Lykaon Belesis struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Isidro Rio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for APOELHELLAS. Lykaon Belesis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Michel Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Isidro Rio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michel Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Rio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michel Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Kyriakoulopoulos. Isidro Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Santos in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Michel Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes of play, APOELHELLAS's Lykaon Belesis made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidro Rio was left in no man's land by his defense there! ΕΝΩΣΗ ΚΥΠΕΡΟΥΝΤΑΣ F.C's Isidro Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Santos in the 96th minute of play.
