An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirill Garbuz in the 23rd minute of play forced Minsk's goalkeeper Vasily Mileysky to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Makar Zavodkin during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Minsk getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Makar Zavodkin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Minsk's Makar Zavodkin got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The Minsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasily Mileysky should have stopped the shot. Minsk's Vasily Mileysky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirill Garbuz in the 74th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Matvey Tsvirko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zenon Virych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matvey Tsvirko kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Minsk's Vasily Mileysky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zenon Virych in the 93rd minute of play. Vasily Mileysky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Virych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gomel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
