The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gorki's Genady Nikitin in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DiaRogachev's goalie prevented a goal. Gorki's Pavel Lameiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikhail Dubrovsky in the 14th minute of play. Genady Nikitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vladislav Sauchyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikhail Zaruba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Lameiko having to make a save. DiaRogachev's Vladislav Sauchyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Erohin in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ilia Galenchik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DiaRogachev's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorki the free kick. After 30 played minutes DiaRogachev got a freekick which was hit by Ilia Galenchik. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genady Nikitin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladislav Sauchyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mikhail Zaruba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pavel Lameiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan Erohin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Sauchyk having to interfere. Ilia Galenchik took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavel Lameiko. Pavel Lameiko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Jan Erohin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62ndth minute of the game Mikhail Dubrovsky who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorki's Pavel Lameiko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jan Erohin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DiaRogachev's Vladislav Sauchyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genady Nikitin in the 67th minute of play. Genady Nikitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladislav Sauchyk having to interfere. Vladislav Sauchyk was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Jan Erohin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan Erohin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Gorki's Genady Nikitin got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan Erohin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Vladislav Sauchyk made a huge save. Mikhail Zaruba struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Pavel Lameiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DiaRogachev. After 84 minutes of play, DiaRogachev's Mikhail Zaruba made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pavel Lameiko was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 87th minute of the match Ilia Galenchik completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ilia Galenchik a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Gorki booed when DiaRogachev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilia Galenchik didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Genady Nikitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorki's supporters rose to their feet, but Genady Nikitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladislav Sauchyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan Erohin in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladislav Sauchyk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Mikhail Zaruba came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the DiaRogachev fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikhail Zaruba couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gorki players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DiaRogachev.
