Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yuriy Razuvaichyk got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Vitebsk's goalkeeper Igor Koltsov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viktor Dubkov. The audience was convinced that Viktor Dubkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Koltsov was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Apanas Makavets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuriy Razuvaichyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Vitebsk's Igor Koltsov got control of the ball when Miraslav Falkovsky tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Minsk got a corner. Vitebsk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vadim Saveliev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Minsk's Vadim Saveliev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Koltsov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cheslav Malinovsky during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aleksandr Fedotov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes, Viktor Dubkov made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vitebsk's Igor Koltsov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes in the game, Viktor Dubkov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Igor Koltsov having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Viktor Dubkov made a precise shot to the right of Igor Koltsov. Vitebsk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Prohar Chabeiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Minsk's Miraslav Falkovsky got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Miraslav Falkovsky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miraslav Falkovsky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Koltsov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miraslav Falkovsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktor Dubkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Igor Koltsov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Dubkov made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Minsk got a corner. Vitebsk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vadim Saveliev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Minsk's Vadim Saveliev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Koltsov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Viktor Dubkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Koltsov having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Viktor Dubkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vitebsk's Igor Koltsov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th match minute, Vitebsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Fedotov to maneuver through the defense. Igor Koltsov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miraslav Falkovsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Vitebsk's Igor Koltsov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Dubkov in the 64th minute of play. Igor Koltsov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Dubkov's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Artyom Reznikovs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Apanas Makavets to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Minsk's Viktor Dubkov got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladislav Nazarenko hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Vitebsk's Igor Koltsov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Koltsov in the 88th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Viktor Dubkov heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Miraslav Falkovsky took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Koltsov. Igor Koltsov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Minsk's Viktor Dubkov in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vitebsk's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Minsk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
