The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stanyo Baytoshev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sevdalin Leyarski went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Stayko Stoichkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Brunko Inkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Frangov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Vihar Gúrnevski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sevdalin Leyarski in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanyo Baytoshev saved FC Dragelevtsi from getting behind. Lyubcho Klincharski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Frangov didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Ilcho Klenov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Frangov having to interfere. FC Smilowzi's Sevdalin Leyarski got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Sevdalin Leyarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanyo Baytoshev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brunko Inkov made a kick off. If Stayko Dzhordzhilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Dragelevtsi's Trifon Dimovski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute, Lyubcho Klincharski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Frangov was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 61st minute, Lyubcho Klincharski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sevdalin Leyarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stanyo Baytoshev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Sevdalin Leyarski put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Stanyo Baytoshev. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sevdalin Leyarski managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Smilowzi's supporters rose to their feet, but Sevdalin Leyarski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanyo Baytoshev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilcho Klenov during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Ilcho Klenov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paun Kashkanov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stanyo Baytoshev having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Dragelevtsi had won after a very even match.
