Branimir Mantovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ognyan Radev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Морските's Valeriy Vyazalov got control of the ball when Chudomir Yanushev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Provadidija's Branimir Mantovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asparuh Nenovski in the 9th minute of play. Branimir Mantovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Provadidija's goal looked a bit too open when Ognyan Radev came free, but Branimir Mantovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeri Kúnov charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valeri Kúnov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Provadidija got a freekick which was hit by Boris Ranchev. Mladen Toshkov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Branimir Mantovski. Provadidija's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Petko Igov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Valeriy Vyazalov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Aleko Dodekov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriy Vyazalov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chudomir Yanushev in the 22nd minute. Branimir Mantovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ognyan Radev in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Viktor Rokomanov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Provadidija's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Rokomanov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valeriy Vyazalov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 minutes, Lyudmil Arizanov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Морските and the Provadidija players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Provadidija booed when Морските was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyudmil Arizanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Provadidija's Boris Ranchev couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Морските. Petko Igov struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Valeriy Vyazalov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Provadidija. Asparuh Nenovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Asparuh Nenovski struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Branimir Mantovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Морските. In the 45th minute Asparuh Nenovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branimir Mantovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Asparuh Nenovski made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Provadidija's Petko Igov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valeriy Vyazalov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chudomir Yanushev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute of the match Boris Ranchev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valeriy Vyazalov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Provadidija's zone, Ognyan Radev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Branimir Mantovski came out of the goal and Ognyan Radev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Ognyan Radev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Branimir Mantovski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Морските getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lyudmil Arizanov hit a great ball. Valeriy Vyazalov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chudomir Yanushev in the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Petko Igov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Provadidija's supporters rose to their feet, but Petko Igov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valeriy Vyazalov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Морските's Nenko Lapev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Branimir Mantovski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Asparuh Nenovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Branimir Mantovski having to interfere. Ognyan Radev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branimir Mantovski having to make a save. After 93 played minutes Provadidija got a freekick which was hit by Valeri Kúnov. After recieving a nice pass, Морските's Mladen Toshkov tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Морските's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
