After a defensive mix-up in Provadidija's zone, Velcho Adúrski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Branimir Mantovski came out of the goal and Velcho Adúrski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th match minute, Provadidija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeri Kúnov to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Velcho Adúrski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Provadidija's Branimir Mantovski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With splendid footwork Petko Igov arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 24th minute. Branimir Mantovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Velislav Belokapov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Velcho Adúrski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Radan Nelov hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Velcho Adúrski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fotyo Kanchelov's late challenge caught a Provadidija's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fotyo Kanchelov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Provadidija booed when FC Obcilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fotyo Kanchelov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlin Bozhikov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Toni Angelski. FC Obcilar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Velislav Belokapov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Branimir Mantovski made a huge save. Velcho Adúrski struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Branimir Mantovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Obcilar. 74 minutes into the match, Provadidija's goal looked a bit too open when Velcho Adúrski came free, but Branimir Mantovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Velcho Adúrski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FC Obcilar's Branimir Mantovski threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Velcho Adúrski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 82 minutes into the match, Velislav Belokapov notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Provadidija's Branimir Mantovski. Branimir Mantovski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Obcilar's Radan Nelov got a free kick in the 94th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
