He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Achlari reached it. 24 minutes into the match, Botunets's goal looked a bit too open when Vencho Vatov came free, but Dragomir Ranev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Botunets's Dragomir Ranev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Botunets from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, FC Achlari's Vencho Vatov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dragomir Ranev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Mihail Gabrovski fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 44th minute Vencho Vatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragomir Ranev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radoslav Brankov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vaklin Pometkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vencho Vatov made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Achlari's goalkeeper Vaklin Pometkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Strahil Radunchev. In the 55th minute, Botunets's Radoslav Brankov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Strahil Radunchev got free with Vaklin Pometkov in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Achlari's zone, Radoslav Brankov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaklin Pometkov came out of the goal and Radoslav Brankov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Botunets's Radoslav Brankov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vaklin Pometkov. That made the score 0-2 after 89 minutes of play. Vencho Vatov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mihail Gabrovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
