The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. CSKA Kovachitsa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 10th minute of the match Zhelyazko Parcalev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vaklin Túrpanov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th match minute, ChervenFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stancho Monov to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ChervenFC's Totyo Hamamdzhiev got a free kick in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ChervenFC's zone, Stefan Belorechki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaklin Túrpanov came out of the goal and Stefan Belorechki tried to chip the ball over his head. Vaklin Túrpanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Stranchanski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Belorechkis short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Vaklin Túrpanov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Totyo Hamamdzhiev scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tzeno Kashchiev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Gabriel Stranchanski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ChervenFC's Vaklin Túrpanov. Vaklin Túrpanov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 40 minutes, Stefan Belorechki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSKA Kovachitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Belorechki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
