After some careless play in the FC Dewenzi defense, Stancho Chalúmov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tzenko Penchovski. The FC Dewenzi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tzenko Penchovski should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stancho Chalúmov in the 8th minute of play forced FC Dewenzi's goalkeeper Tzenko Penchovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Dewenzi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasko Stanulov was slow to take the kick. During this time Merseyside FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Vasko Stanulov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Dewenzi's Tzenko Penchovski did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stancho Chalúmov in the 10th minute of play forced FC Dewenzi's goalkeeper Tzenko Penchovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Stancho Chalúmov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tzenko Penchovski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Radul Alekov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tenyo Gadzhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Radul Alekov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tenyo Gadzhov in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Merseyside FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Anani Maev hit a great ball. Radul Alekov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iskren Sariyski went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, FC Dewenzi's Tzenko Penchovski got control of the ball when Anani Maev tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Spas Beshkov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tzenko Penchovski, 5-1. 47 minutes into the match, Iskren Sariyski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Radul Alekov. Merseyside FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iskren Sariyski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stancho Chalúmov made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Slavcho Dzhambov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tzenko Penchovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anani Maev in the 60th minute of the match. Tzenko Penchovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stancho Chalúmov, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Merseyside FC's Anani Maev, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Merseyside FC. FC Dewenzi's Tzenko Penchovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stancho Chalúmov in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, FC Dewenzi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Presiyan Shaklev to maneuver through the defense. Gercho Lúskov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tzenko Penchovski. FC Dewenzi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tzenko Penchovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anani Maev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gercho Lúskov in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Dewenzi's goalkeeper Tzenko Penchovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Stancho Chalúmov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merseyside FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stancho Chalúmov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tzenko Penchovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dewenzi's goalkeeper Tzenko Penchovski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
